Whether you're selling replicas of your artwork, or simply want to decorate your room, Print-On Canvas Paper is an excellent way to do this using your home or office Inkjet Printer. Available in A4 and US Letter, to A3 and 11" x 17". Print-On Canvas is a specially designed material that mimics the texture and appearance of a traditional artist canvas.

Print-On Papers come either pre-adhesive-backed or without adhesive, available in various materials. You can paint onto these papers and sew, or cut out custom stickers, but today we will show you how to print out your own mini canvases using adhesive backed Print-On Canvas Paper.

Instructions

You may want to measure the canvas if the dimensions were not provided.

Step 1: Print 

Make trim marks so that we know where to cut.

Print-On Papers do not need to be mirrored.

Make sure your Inkjet Printer Settings have been set accordingly:

We advise you to use the manual feed in your printer (not the paper tray).

Print on the canvas side of the paper.

If you printed without trim marks, then draw on the lines using a pen or pencil.

Step 2: Cut

Cut these out using a cutting machine, craft knife, or scissors.

Don't forget to cut the corners.

Your Canvas Sticker is now ready.
You can store it away in an airtight bag or use right away.

Step 3: Apply

No glue is necessary, Print-On comes pre-adhesive-backed.

Peel away the backing and rest on the table with the sticky side facing up.

Carefully align and place the mini canvas down onto your canvas sticker.

You can then pull up the sides and press them against the canvas frame.

Finished!

You can also do this whole process with Print-On Cotton Paper, creating a fabric material sticker for a very unique feeling canvas.

Will this work with Laser Printers?

We don't recommend it. The fusers inside Laser Printers are not designed to work with Fabric materials. However, you can achieve similar results using Rub-On Transfer Paper, also available as Rub-On Metallic. It will create an ultra-thin sticker with a paper-like matte finish, that you can apply onto surfaces. However application onto canvas using Rub-On may require a little extra work to massage it into the contours of the canvas.

Coatings

If you want to make your canvas more durable, stain resistant or match the finish of a real canvas, you can use coatings such as Clear Acrylic Sealant, Clear Polyurethane Spray. This will protect it and allows you to make the finish glossier or more mattified.

How can I improve image quality?

600 DPI (Dots Per Inch) is plentyful. However if you want even richer colors and detail, a higher DPI printer will pack more pigment into an area with fewer gaps between the toner (dots). This is often unnecessary unless working on very tiny transfers (miniatures and dioramas), however is noticible side by side.
